City Closures in November Due to COVID-19

To help aid preventative measures of spreading COVID-19, the City of Salisbury has updated building closings and other cancellations. Please refer to the list below, and check back frequently for updates at For more information on the city's response to COVID-19, visit

  • The City Office Building's lobby is CLOSED until further notice. The office is available by appointment only by calling (704) 638-5208 or emailing We appreciate your understanding. In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, all employees and visitors will continue to utilize online or phone services as an alternative to face-to-face interactions at this time. Thank you for your patience as this may affect response time.
  • The Customer Service Center's lobby is closed beginning on Monday, November 9, 2020. The drive-thru will accept cash payments only. We still encourage alternative methods of payment, such as calling, using our website ( or the drop-off boxes.
  • All Parks and Recreation remain closed. Tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts, park shelters, parks, playgrounds and greenways are OPEN.
  • The Salisbury Police Department is CLOSED TO WALK-INS but still providing services (click here for details)

  • Salisbury Transit has suspended bus services on Saturday until further notice (click here for full Transit schedules).

Current COVID-19 Restrictions

Executive Order 185:

  • Lifts the Modified Stay at Home Order established under Executive Order 181
  • Still requires face coverings in all public indoor settings
  • Allows many businesses to operate at 50% capacity
  • Extends onsite service of alcohol until 11 p.m.
  • Lifts the 100-person cap on some businesses that were operating at 30% capacity
  • Allows some indoor businesses – including bars and taverns, indoor amusement parks, movie theaters and indoor sports arenas – to open at 30% capacity (with a cap of 250 people)
  • Allows larger indoor arenas with a capacity of more than 5,000 people to open at 15% capacity with no cap (as long as additional safety protocols in place)
  • Increases the indoor mass gathering limit to 25 people (the outdoor mass gathering limit remains at 50 people)

Each of these routes arrives and departs from the central Transfer Site on Depot St. Any bus you board can take you to the Transfer Site. Any member of the public may ride on the bus. The buses do not operate on holidays.

Please note that the last time listed for a stop indicates the last bus will be traveling to that location and no further transfers are available.
