The City of Salisbury is proud to announce significant improvements in traffic safety enforcement as part of its participation in the Governor’s Highway Safety Program (GHSP) for the 2024 grant year. These efforts have resulted in notable increases across key enforcement metrics, reinforcing the city’s commitment to maintaining road safety within the community.

The Salisbury Sculpture Show, hosted by the Salisbury Public Art Commission (PAC) is returning for its 18th consecutive year in May, 2025.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at approximately 6:48 p.m., officers with the Salisbury Police Department responded to the parking lot of 2096 Statesville Blvd. concerning an assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 57-year-old female with life-threatening injuries consistent with an assault. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
