On Saturday, January 18, 2025 the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Weekend Parade will return to downtown Salisbury. We invite the entire Salisbury-Rowan Community to participate. This year there will be no parade entry fee.

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee, as part of the Human Relations Council, will host its annual weekend celebration to honor the civil rights icon.

The Salisbury Police Department hosts a monthly Salisbury Neighborhood Action Group (SNAG) meeting. At these meetings, citizens will hear monthly updates concerning drug investigations, criminal investigations, and code enforcement issues.
Meetings take place on the 2nd Monday of every month at 4 pm

The Hurley Park Advisory Committee assists in the development of Hurley Park and seeks sponsors for Hurley Park in accordance with the master plan. The Committee also reviews and recommends developmental ideas presented to the Committee by the staff of the City of Salisbury or any other interested parties.
The Greenway, Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee’s mission is to provide advice related to the greenway development, promotion of the greenway usage and assist staff with decisions relating to the current and future plans for the greenway system.
