The Public Art Committee (PAC) was formed in 2003 to celebrate the City’s history and culture through public art in the downtown, including the Salisbury Sculpture Show, History and Art Trail and the Art in Public Spaces program.

The Third Annual Cheerwine Festival will be held on Saturday, May 18, in Salisbury from noon to 10 p.m. In preparation for the Festival, the city will begin to close roadways on Friday, May 17, at 8 p.m. 

The Salisbury Police Department, in collaboration with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) and the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, apprehended five federal defendants Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 2, as part of its efforts to address gun and drug violence in the City of Salisbury and surrounding areas. 

The City of Salisbury and Cheerwine, the iconic family-owned soft drink that has called the city home for 101 years, are teaming up to host the third annual Cheerwine Festival in downtown Salisbury, N.C., on Saturday, May 18, 2019, 12 to 10 p.m.
