The City of Salisbury Parks and Recreation will offer summer camps for youths this year, with COVID-19 restrictions. Summer camp programs will be conducted with COVID-19 safety protocols in place and will follow recommendations from the CDC, state and local health officials.
Here are five camps to keep children active over the summer months:
Timeout Little Shooters Basketball Camps
Timeout Basketball "Little Shooters" Beginner Camp offers qualified training in basketball for boys and girls ages five to eight. Emphasis will be placed on having fun as well as teaching basic fundamentals.
The camp will take place at Hall Gym, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be two sessions: the first camp starts – Monday, June 21 through Thursday, June 24, and the second camp begins Monday, July 19 through Thursday, July 22. The cost is $49 for one camp session or $75 for both.

Timeout Future Stars Basketball Camps
Timeout "Future Stars" Basketball Individual Camp provides qualified training in basketball for boys and girls ages seven to 14. Emphasis will be placed on fundamental skills, strategy, conditioning, techniques, individual and team offense, and defense.
The camp will take place at Hall Gym, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be two sessions: the first camp starts – Monday, June 21 through Thursday, June 24, and the second camp begins Monday, July 19 through Thursday, July 22. The cost is $89 for one camp session or $150 for both.

Super Summertime Camps
Experience a summer full of adventure and excitement for children ages six through 12. Your child will learn how to make arts and crafts, swim, make friends and create memories they will never forget. Lunch will be provided. Campers must wear a mask.
The camp will take place at Salisbury Civic Center, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be three sessions: the first beginning Monday, June 7 through Friday, June 11 (registration deadline Wednesday, June 2), the second session Monday, June 14 through Friday, June 18 (registration deadline Wednesday, June 9) and Monday June 28 through Friday, July 2 (registration deadline Wednesday, June 23). The cost is $55 per session.
Fast-Pitch Softball Camp
This fast-pitch camp will include pitching, hitting, fielding and base running for children ages eight to 14. Campers will participate in skill development sessions and live game situations. Participants will need to bring all their softball gear and water.
The program will take place at Salisbury Community Park, Monday, June 21 through Thursday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $30.
Cheer and Dance Camp
Campers ages nine through 15 will learn these and more fun calisthenics. Camp lessons will cover choreographed routines and ways to create unique material. Campers will have a chance to work on fundamental skills and performance essentials for both cheer and dance. The week will conclude with a group and individual highlights through a virtual showcase. CDC protocols will be followed. Campers must wear a mask.
The program will take place at Salisbury Civic Center, Monday, July 12 through Friday, July 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The registration deadline is Wednesday, July 7. The cost is $55.
