Shooting updates regarding incident at Livingstone College


The Salisbury Police Department secured warrants for Talib Latrell Kelly, age 21 of Salisbury. Kelly, who is not a Livingstone College student, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, discharging a firearm on educational property, and possession of a firearm by a felon for his involvement in the shooting incident at Livingstone College on Saturday, Oct. 15.

The investigation has since revealed that there may be additional suspects. Salisbury Police is asking the public for their assistance in identifying this person of interest. The person is wearing a face covering/mask, a red jacket and dark-colored pants.

Anyone with video footage or information from Saturday, Oct. 15, is asked to send a private message to the Salisbury, North Carolina Police Department Facebook page, email the Rowan Reginal Crime Information Center (RRCIC) at rrcic@salisburync.gov, or call the Criminal Investigations Division at (704) 216-5262.
