Salisbury Police Department Notice - Brookview Apts. Shooting
Salisbury Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place yesterday evening at Brookview Apts on South Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in Salisbury. Police were notified of a potential shooting at the complex and that the victim was enroute to Novant Health Rowan in a private vehicle.
Novant Health confirmed that Michael Dwayne Connor Jr, age 32 of Salisbury was at their facility with multiple gunshot wounds. Mr Connor was transferred to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center by helicopter for further treatment. There is no word on his condition at this time. Salisbury Police Violent Crimes Detectives were able to identify Corey Parnell Sims age 29 of Salisbury as the shooter. A Warrant have been issued for MrSims for attempted 1st degree Murder. Mr Sims may be in the area of Mocksville, NC. Do not approach the suspect.
