At 11:26 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 19, Salisbury Police were dispatched to 628 W. Kerr St, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival they found Emerson Truitt Roebuck (B/M 5/08/1948) of that address with gunshot wounds. Roebuck was transported to Novant Health Rowan and despite efforts of medical personnel he was pronounced deceased. Salisbury Police Criminal Investigations and the NCSBI responded to the crime scene and began their investigation. The investigation is still continuing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
This is the City of Salisbury’s second homicide of the year.
