This month’s edition of the employee spotlight highlights Salisbury native Scotty Robinson.
In 2016, Scotty joined the City of Salisbury as a human resource analyst I focusing on recruitment for various city departments. A year later, he would recruit himself to join the Salisbury Police Department.
As a school resource officer, Scotty is responsible for establishing and maintaining a close partnership with students and school personnel to provide a safe school environment for everyone on campus. His duties also include participating in school functions, checking-in with students to prevent juvenile delinquency and increasing the accessibility and visibility of police to the school community.
“I’m proud to be back in Salisbury making a difference in our community. I could have been somewhere else traveling the world and making a lot of money but chose to come back home. My goal is to provide younger people with the same opportunities that I received while growing up here. People may see me with a police badge but I am the same person I was before the badge - Scotty.”
