From Wednesday, February 9 through Tuesday, March 4 at 5 p.m., the City of Salisbury’s Neighborhood Traffic Calming Policy will be available for review by the public.
The City of Salisbury’s Neighborhood Traffic Calming Policy is intended to create safe streets for
all, reduce thoroughfare traffic, and reduce speeding while also guiding and improving staff’s
response to traffic calming requests.
The City of Salisbury’s Neighborhood Traffic Calming Policy identifies a process for residents to
request an evaluation for traffic calming on a neighborhood street. This policy incorporates
Education and Enforcement (non-physical measures), and Engineering devices (physical
measures) into resolving traffic issues in neighborhoods.
