In partnership with the Salisbury Public Arts Commission, the Salisbury Police Department will engage West End residents to paint on public crosswalks at the intersection of Lloyd and Horah in the West End neighborhood. The artwork will reflect the history, culture, and vibrancy of West End, and display creativity and community.
What is a Paint the Pavement project? Selected artists and their teams paint their design on public crosswalks.
The designs will be selected by a local and representative selection committee. Artists of all ages and skillsets are encouraged to submit their designs for consideration for the four new crosswalks.
There is no cost to enter and all materials will be supplied. A $500 stipend will be given to artists upon completion. Entries will be accepted through Friday, April 11, 2025.
