Salisbury Public Works Department and its former recycling contractor, Waste Management, will implement a city-wide collection of green and yellow recycling bins, Monday, August 24 through Friday, August 28. This will be a one-week “sweep” that will include all service areas.
The city contracted with a new recycling vendor, Republic Services, which uses a blue bin in early July. Therefore, the yellow and green bins are overdue for retrieval. Some residents have already received a red tag that indicates the bin should be turned in for permanent collection.
Residents should place the empty, yellow and green cart at the curb by 7 a.m. on Monday, August 24, and left until collected by Friday, August 28.
