Salisbury Transit celebrates September’s Go Transit Month with a theme of “Safe. Clean. Transit.” Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Transit remains committed to creating a safe environment for its drivers and riders.
“Yearly we get to celebrate the drivers that keep our City moving forward,” said Salisbury Transit Director Rodney Harrison. “This year amidst the pandemic, our Transit drivers have worked together to follow state and federal guidelines to keep everyone who entered the bus safe. We invite everyone to join us as we say thank you to our dedicated bus drivers, bus maintenance workers, transit office staff and our riders who support transit.”
Returning to a new and safe normal, Salisbury Transit continues to meet riders’ needs by:
- Implementing robust cleaning and sanitizing practices
- Requiring masks be worn on Salisbury Transit buses and providing
disposable masks for riders who do not have one
- Offering free rides to the vaccination clinic: a rider just has to
mention to the driver that they are going to the clinic
