Our code enforcement division has a few tips for homeowners to keep Salisbury beautiful for the upcoming Spring season.
PARK OVERSIZED COMMERCIAL VEHICLES IN YOUR REAR YARD
Parking for RVs, trailers, commercial vehicles and boats shall be restricted to the rear yards in the residential zoning districts. MOW GRASS & WEEDS BEFORE 10-IN TALL
Grass may not exceed an average height of 10 inches, and undeveloped lots greater than one (1) acre must be mowed or cleared within 100 feet of all boundaries. This includes the area between the street and sidewalk. PARK IN YOUR DRIVEWAY
Vehicle parking in the front yard shall be located on a prepared surface, as defined in Chapter 10 of the Land Development Ordinance, and shall not exceed 25% of the yard width. This provision shall not apply to front yard circulation drive. NO JUNK VEHICLES IN YARD OR STREET
Junked motor vehicles means a vehicle that does not display a current license plate lawfully upon that vehicle and that is partially dismantled or wrecked; or cannot be self-propelled or moved in the manner in which it was originally intended to move; or is more than five (5) years old and appears to be worth less than one hundred dollars ($100).
