Be The Difference - Be An Engineer!
Employee Spotlight: Ni Su
This month’s employee spotlight is Ni Su, an engineer in the Land and Development Services department. In his role, Ni performs the plan review in the technical aspects of water, sewer, street, storm drain, and floodplain plans to ensure utility development and design meet city and state specifications. He also collaborates with Salisbury-Rowan Utilities in local permitting for state water and sewer projects, and assists customers and developers in resolving utility conflicts to ensure compliance with acceptance procedures pre- and post-development.
“My favorite part of the job is interacting with customers—listening to their concerns, gathering feedback on problem-solving and project approvals, and finding ways to enhance our customer service now and in the future. Besides that, working with city employees is one of the most motivating ways to keep the work and day flow effective and productive.”
