Stephen Brown, a third generation landscaper, is living his childhood dream as the public services landscape architect and project manager for the City of Salisbury. He applies his love for landscape to his work with communities, contractors and city staff.
Stephen performs various functions through the city ranging from designing landscapes, navigating the city codes and the permitting process, and project management. His most recent work includes the landscape design for the renovated parking lot at the visitor’s center, assisting with the West End wall project, and planting designs for Downtown Innes Street and the new greenway section. Before serving in his current role, Stephen was the maintenance manager for the Salisbury Parks and Recreation Department.
“Horticulture is my dream and I get to live it out here in the City of Salisbury. I enjoy working on the wide range of projects and the uniqueness of each one. It brings me joy knowing that when I sit down to construct landscape plans it’s something that residents can enjoy now and future generations will be proud to have in our City.”
