This summer children up to 18, and up to one accompanying guardian, can ride free on Salisbury Transit to a Summer Food Service Program location that is nearby. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a federally-funded, state-administered program that ensures free healthy meals and snacks to children and teens in low-income areas during the summer months when school is out.

The Citizen’s Academy, now in its sixth year, is held on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8 p.m. beginning Thursday, Sept. 5 through Thursday, Nov. 7.
