2022 Spring Spruce Up Week

During Spruce Up Weeks, City of Salisbury residents can place items at the curb on their regular collection day before 7:00 a.m. The City of Salisbury Public Works Department will pick up your old appliances, tires without rims (limit 5 tires or less per location) and extra bagged trash.

Employee Spotlight: Lauran McCulloh, Battalion Chief

     This month’s employee spotlight is Lauran McCulloh, a battalion chief for the City of Salisbury Fire Department (SFD). Immediately after graduating from South Rowan High School, Lauran attended firefighter training school and after completion joined the SFD. In her role, Lauran serves as the lead commander for any emergency incident that requires multiple companies to respond. She is also responsible for administrative duties, oversees safety and training of firefighters and ensures reports are up to date.

Applications Now Open For FY2022-23 CDBG Funds

The City of Salisbury is currently accepting applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding to aid in development needs within the City of Salisbury, NC. During the period between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023, the City will receive approximately $315,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME program dollars from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Citizen input is needed to help determine community development needs and priorities for the use of these funds in the coming year. Applications are due on April 20, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
