The first incident was a report of shots fired at 6:40 p.m., in the area of 410 West 15th St. Upon arrival, officers were told that the driver of a black Jeep with a damaged front headlight, shot a gun several times. No visible signs of damage to the nearby apartments or any spent shell casings could be found. A Be On the Lookout (BOLO) was issued. Read more

Brooks has been promoted to lieutenant. Brooks has more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement, beginning his career with the East Spencer Police Department. He was hired by the Salisbury Police Department (SPD) in 2001 as a patrol officer, and continued to rise through the ranks. His previous responsibilities included supervision of the patrol division, training, and recruitment. He most recently served as a sergeant in the criminal investigations/violent crimes unit.
