Delays Due To Inclement Weather Thursday, Feb. 18

Due to inclement weather Salisbury Transit will be operating on a 1 hour delay on 2/18/21. The fixed route and ADA Paratransit service will began transporting passengers at 7:10 a.m. instead of our regular start time of 6:00 a.m.

Vaccine Clinics Move to Appointment-Based Model

In a letter released today from Public Health Director Nina Oliver, the Health Department will move to an appointment-based model for vaccines beginning with its first-dose clinic scheduled for Wednesday, January 27.  Vaccine allocations from the state remain low at this time, so Director Oliver urged eligible but healthy and willing citizens to hold off vying for the appointment slots until more are available, or for citizens who are Novant Health patients to focus attempts to seek a vaccination through their clinic.

Festival organizers hopeful for in-person event if pandemic restrictions lift

The date for the 2021 Cheerwine Festival will move from Saturday, May 15, to Saturday, Sept. 18, in anticipation of reductions in COVID-19 restrictions and continued distribution of the vaccine.
