The annual Veteran's Day Parade starts on the grounds of the Hefner VA Medical Center at 1 p.m., Monday November 11. A second parade leaves the VA hospital and reassembles in downtown Salisbury at 2:00 p.m. Local high school bands, Junior ROTC units, and Veterans Service Organizations all participate

This month’s edition of the employee spotlight highlights Salisbury native Scotty Robinson. In 2016, Scotty joined the City of Salisbury as a human resource analyst I focusing on recruitment for various city departments. A year later, he would recruit himself to join the Salisbury Police Department.

The Rowan EDC and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Anthony Copeland announced today that Team Auto Group, a family of automotive dealerships with multiple locations in North Carolina, will expand its office operations in Salisbury.

City of Salisbury announces its 2024 Juneteenth operation schedule

The City of Salisbury will operate on the following schedule for the Juneteenth holiday, Wednesday, June 19:

City office buildings, including the Salisbury Customer Service Center and recreation centers will be closed on Wednesday, June 19.
Salisbury Transit will offer transit services on Wednesday, June 19.
The city’s public works department will offer its regular garbage and recycling collection on Wednesday, June 19. The department will not offer limb collection on Wednesday, June 19.
Salisbury-Rowan Utilities’ administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19. If you have a water/sewer emergency after hours or during the holiday, please call (704) 638-5339. Customers can access the 24-hour online bill pay service by visiting, salisburync.gov/customerservice.
The Salisbury Community Park will operate from 8 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19.
The police and fire departments will remain available for emergency services, as usual, during the holiday.
