City Park Lake Fish Kill Notice

The City of Salisbury has observed a fish kill at City Park Lake, which refers to the sudden, unexpected death of a large number of fish. City staff and the contracted management team are actively investigating the cause of this incident.

As a precaution, fishing in the lake is not permitted until further notice. Additionally, any fish caught in the past several days should be discarded and not consumed, as a safety measure.

All Aboard: Salisbury and Historic Salisbury Foundation Unite to Restore Historic Depot

The City of Salisbury and the Historic Salisbury Foundation (HSF) are proud to announce a collaborative effort to restore and revitalize the historic Salisbury Depot. Through this partnership, the City will purchase the Depot from HSF, returning the building to its original function as a passenger rail station and launching the next phase of a broader effort to enhance transportation and preserve Salisbury’s architectural heritage.

2025 National Night Out

Salisbury will celebrate local community agencies, neighborhoods and law enforcement partnerships at a combined Back-to-School Community Resource Fair and National Night Out event, Tuesday, Aug. 5, beginning at 6 p.m. at Bell Tower Green. Food will be served.

2025 Citizens Academy

The City of Salisbury invites residents to apply for the 2025 Citizens Academy, a free, ten-week program designed to offer a behind-the-scenes look at how local government works. This year’s Academy will be held every Thursday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., beginning September 4 and concluding with a graduation ceremony on October 30.
