Salisbury Police Department Investigating 02-02-2023 Homicide
On Sunday, July 2, 2023 at approximately 1147 PM, the Salisbury Police Department responded to the 1300 block of West Jake Alexander Blvd regarding a reported shooting. Officers arrived and located Otha Keith Sherrill (DOB-10/23/1973) with a gunshot wound. Mr. Sherrill was transported to Novant Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Salisbury Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating the incident. Due to the nature of this investigation, no further information will be released at this time.
This appears to be an isolated incident, there is no active threat to the surrounding community.
