Brenner Avenue Sidewalk Project Community Meeting

As part of our commitment to residents we sponsor community meetings when we near the end of design. This allows property owners to see the full scope of the project as well as details specific to their property.  We will be hosting a meeting on Monday. March 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. for the addition of sidewalk from Statesville to Horah. The meeting will be at the West End Business Center (1400 West Bank St., Salisbury NC, 28144).

As the number of cases of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, continues to grow, I want to reassure our residents that the City of Salisbury is taking this situation seriously. The health and safety of you, your family, and our employees remains a priority. Following the guidance of recent coronavirus advisories provided by federal, state, Rowan County Public Health and other agencies, I’m here to provide the following updates:

The Salisbury Police Department would like to make you aware that you may encounter changes to the way we normally operate and interact with the public. The goals of these changes is to maintain the well-being of our residents as well as the health of our officers and staff so we can continue to provide efficient and effective law enforcement services. As COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to spread and affect our day-to-day lives, police officers are still on duty and employees are still working.

Spring Clean '20

UPDATE - This event will still be held, since groups will be small, work far apart and be outdoors.
Volunteers needed! The Spring Clean event is returning Saturday March 21, from 8 a.m. to noon. Take an hour or more to drop by and help us clean up the streets! Equipment provided, check in is at City Hall.

Cemetery Clean Up 2020

The city of Salisbury's cemetery division performs an "Annual Cemetery Cleanup" is performed once a year. This year's clean up will be March 23-27. Signage will be placed on large blue signs at each entrance of each cemetery approximately two months prior to the cleanup to alert lot owners of the beginning and end date of the cleanup. During cleanup week, any items located on grave plots including flowers, decorations, etc. will be removed and discarded. If you wish to retain any items, please remove them before the cleanup week. After the end date of the cleanup, you can place your flowers back on your plot.
