It’s not too late to sign up to receive Nixle alerts from the City of Salisbury! The alerts are a community-wide notification system to inform residents about emergency situations and community advisories right at their fingertips.
Nixle alerts can be received via text, email, voice, web, and social media in an instant. All alerts are targeted geographically, allowing residents to receive localized, relevant information from the city. The Nixle system, available at no cost to citizens, will be most effective when a large number of Salisbury citizens subscribe. Standard messaging rates will apply.
To customize the information you receive and the locations you receive it from, via text message and/or email, you must set up a free account. Open the Nixle app on your phone or go online to www.nixle.com to register. Once registered, you can personalize your locations and your language preferences, making the service fit your needs. You can also choose how you want to receive your information, whether by text over your mobile device or e-mail. Add as many locations as you would like at no additional cost.
