Salisbury, N.C., (Tuesday, April 26, 2016) – Salisbury’s broadband utility, Fibrant has been named a finalist for a Leading Lights Award from Light Reading, "the leading trade publication for communications networking."
Fibrant is one of five finalists in the Most Innovative Gigabit Broadband Service category. Other finalists in the category include EPB Chattanooga and LinkNYC. All five broadband networks have been recognized as communications service providers (fixed, cable, utility, municipality) that have launched innovative Gigabit broadband service offerings.
The Leading Lights Awards program has a 12-year history in the technology community. This year, Light Reading received more than 300 entries for all 25 Leading Lights Award categories. Winners will be announced at the Leading Lights Awards dinner, Monday, May 23, in Austin, Texas. The awards ceremony is the kickoff to Light Reading’s Big Communications Event, an annual gathering of the network industry's top providers in the U.S.
