With autumn in full swing, the leaves are falling across the city. This is a friendly reminder from the City of Salisbury's public services department regarding leaf collection services, and that leaf burning is prohibited in city limits.
- Leaf Burning is prohibited within the city limits of Salisbury as public pick up services are available to our citizens.
- During Leaf Season
October 15, 2018 – March 31, 2019
Loose leaves must be raked to the curb by Monday morning of your collection week to ensure collection. Bagged leaves may be put out weekly on your regular trash/yard waste day.
- During the Off Season
April 1, 2019 – October 11, 2019
All loose leaves and shrub clippings must be bagged or placed in a container for collection. Vacuum trucks do not run during this time. Bagged leaves will be collected on your regular trash/yard waste day.
- Helpful Reminders
There will be no leaf collection during holiday weeks:
November 19 - 23, (Thanksgiving Week)
December 24 - 28 (Christmas Week)
