Mayor Karen Alexander has announced a reduction in her availability as she focuses on personal health matters following a recent cancer diagnosis. While limiting public engagements, she will continue overseeing essential mayoral responsibilities. She expresses her gratitude to Mayor Pro Tem Tamara Sheffield and her fellow City Council members for their support to ensure continued leadership during her recovery.
"Serving Salisbury is one of the greatest honors of my life," said Mayor Alexander. "I trust in our Council and city leadership team to continue advancing our key projects and initiatives."
She encourages the community to stay united and support one another. The City asks that residents keep Mayor Alexander and her family in their thoughts and prayers.
