Transits own Ella Casey brings home the trophy
Transit would like to congratulate its own, Ella Casey. Ella took first place in the 2017 Fire and Ice chili cook off. Fire and Ice Chili Competition was put on by the SWAY Salisbury Way Committee. This is an annual competition among City Departments. Ella entered in her very own recipe called "Grandma's Chili" She competed against several City of Salisbury employees.2nd place was Leon Gaither of Parks and Recreation, with his Crowd Pleaser recipe. 3rd place was Randy Hyde of Fibrant with Palmer's Chili recipe. The City employees were able to come in and sample all the recipes and vote for their favorite. Then get to enjoy a chili lunch cooked by the Salisbury Fire Department. 

We are very proud of Ella for representing Transit and bringing the bragging rights back to Transit for another year. Transit Operator Lavoris Givens won in 2015.
