The 2020 Cheerwine Festival will bring opportunity for residents and visitors to get involved in the fun through volunteer activities and by entering the t-shirt design contest.
Cheerwine Festival organizers are seeking volunteer groups to assist with the daylong festivities. Civic and service organizations are encouraged to volunteer in groups of 10 people or more on Saturday, May 16, for at least one, three-hour period. The festival hours are noon to 10 p.m. (volunteer groups can/will start as early as 8:00 am) Duties will include vendor load-in assistance, managing parking lots, serving in the information booths and serving as a Cheerwine Festival street ambassador.

Artists are also encouraged to participate in the event by entering the Cheerwine Festival T-Shirt design contest before 5 p.m., Friday, March 6. The winner will have the official Festival t-shirt design and receive:
- A one-night stay at the Salisbury Holiday Inn Express after all the Festival fun on Saturday, May 16
- A Cheerwine Festival Gift Basket containing four Festival t-shirts and additional items from Cheerwine and the City of Salisbury
T-shirt design judges will select the five best initial entries. Criteria for selection will include, but is not limited to, the entries that are most visually appealing, the uniqueness of the entry, and the clarity and impact of the Cheerwine Festival imagery in the final design.
A gallery of the final five selections will be made available on Monday, March 16, for viewing and voting. One People’s Choice winner will be selected based on the highest number of valid votes.
