This month’s employee spotlight is Atalie Bare, a Senior Administrative Specialist for the City of Salisbury. In this role, she works as a part of the administration team in the clerk and mayor’s office. Atalie performs administrative duties and serves as a liaison between departments and the public daily. Prior to joining the administration team, she worked as a Customer Service Representative at the Salisbury Customer Service Center.
The City of Salisbury has been awarded the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) Certificate of Safety Achievement Second Consecutive Year Gold award.
The City of Salisbury will operate on a limited schedule for the Labor Day holiday, Monday, Sept. 6.
Kenneth Graham started his career with the City of Salisbury Public Works Department in 2015 before transitioning to Salisbury Community Planning Services. In his current role as a code enforcement officer, Kenneth issues warnings, official notices and citations to obtain compliance with zoning laws and building ordinances within city limits. This includes communicating with business and property owners concerning violations, responding and addressing code violations and nuisances such as illegal dumping, tall grass, etc., and spreading awareness about code enforcement to residents.
Ella Casey is a transit operator and ADA dispatcher for the City of Salisbury Transit Department. In her role, Ella transports clients to designated sites, collects fares, and conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicles to ensure people get where they are going safely. She also provides paratransit dispatching and routing service to senior, disabled individuals certified under the American with Disabilities Act.
The City of Salisbury will operate on the following schedule for Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day:
Beginning Tuesday, July 6, the City of Salisbury will resume normal operations by re-opening its public buildings such as City Hall, City Office Building, the Salisbury Police Department front lobby, the Customer Service Center, and all Parks and Recreation facilities, per staffing availability.
Steve Myers is the mail coordinator for the City of Salisbury. His role focuses on support services for the City and includes receiving, processing and delivering mail, packages and supplies. Although he receives and delivers packages to departments from FedEx, UPS, Amazon and USPS, Steve also transports interdepartmental mail for City departments.
