Five murals were completed over the weekend as part of the Salisbury Public Arts Commission and Downtown Salisbury’s “Paint the Pavement” art initiative. The crosswalk art installations, at the intersections of Lee and Kerr Streets, were selected in 2021 but were put on hold due to a paint shortage.

On Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, at approximately 12:52 AM, the Salisbury Police Department was dispatched to 1433 Old Wilkesboro Rd. in reference to a shooting that had just occurred. Arriving Officers located Auburn Odell Clement (27 years old male) with injuries consistent of a shooting. First responders attempted life saving measures but Mr. Clement succumbed to his injures.
This month’s employee spotlight is Kaley Sink, a senior management analyst for the Finance Department. In her role, Kaley monitors budget expenditures, provides support to various City departments, and maintains information for the annual financial report.
