The Salisbury Police Department (SPD), in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, will host public information sessions with City Council and the general public on Tuesday, Aug. 14 to announce the findings of a recent police department assessment.
Communities within the City of Salisbury will observe National Night Out, Tuesday, Aug. 7, with free music, food, children’s games and other outdoor activities, featuring officers of the Salisbury Police Department (SPD). The City of Salisbury’s budget and performance management department has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the City’s FY2017-2018 budget. The GFOA’s Distinguished Presentation Awards program is the only national awards program in governmental budgeting. Salisbury was one jurisdiction out of only 1,177 throughout the U.S. and Canada to receive the award.
