The North Carolina Local Government Commission (LGC) has approved the City’s financing plan for the Empire Hotel. The plan incorporates a Master Lease as a means for the developer to secure project financing. The LGC provides financial oversight to North Carolina local governments.
On March 6, 2018, the Salisbury City Council unanimously adopted a resolution to approve the renaming of the city’s newest fire station to honor two fallen firefighters. The station will be named the Justin Monroe and Vic Isler Salisbury Fire Station No. 6 and Fire Academy.
Fibrant services have transitioned to Hotwire Communications and thus ended the City’s operation and management of the fiber optic network. While the transition is bittersweet on the Fibrant side, Hotwire’s debut in the community brings excitement and opportunity for all. The Fibrant website will now redirect you to Hotwire, including the Notification of Fibrant Issue Report, while Fibrant’s social media platforms have now been suspended.
