Salisbury City Council and city staff will host the third in a series of community town hall meetings titled, Chit, Chat & Chew, Thursday, Aug. 23, with dinner beginning at 5:15 p.m., at Destiny City Church, 2324 S. The Salisbury Police Department (SPD) responded to a 911 call regarding a disturbance in the 700 block of MLK Jr. Ave. S at approximately 4:10 p,m. While officers were arriving, an updated call indicated there were victims at the Towne Creek Park in the 700 block of E. Monroe St. As officers arrived they found a female and male victim suffering gunshot wounds in the park grounds.
