September is Go Transit Month in the City of Salisbury. This month recognizes and celebrates Salisbury Transit staff who keeps Salisbury moving.
“We are excited to celebrate Go Transit Month and recognize the city’s transit team,” said Transit Director Rodney Harrison. “Their hard work, dedication and commitment to transporting riders to various destinations such as work, medical appointment, shopping, and educational institutions is a vital service in our community. None of this would be possible without the administration staff, dispatchers, transit drivers and our maintenance team. They truly deserve our thanks. We will have activities planned for staff throughout the month and we want riders and residents to get involved as well.”
In honor of Go Transit Month, riders and residents are encouraged to join in celebrating the hard-working transit team throughout the month of September. This could be as simple as a smile and a wave as you’re boarding and a “thank you” when you leave. You can also spread the word on social media by sharing a photo with your favorite transit operator and tagging the City of Salisbury Facebook page.
