Detectives with the Salisbury Police Department have made an arrest in connection with a homicide that occurred on March 19, 2026, at a residence in the 1200 block of Beard Street.
On March 20, 2026, detectives arrested Namyous Dejhmariek’Kali Jackson, (DOB: 04/08/2000), in Kannapolis without incident. Jackson has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Sebastian Rankin Jr., (DOB: 12/12/1985). The Kannapolis Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation assisted with the arrest and investigation.
The charge stems from an incident on March 19, 2026, when officers responded to a reported residential breaking and entering in progress and located multiple individuals with injuries, including one person who had been shot and later pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation determined the incident was domestic-related and involved multiple individuals.
