The 2026 Cheerwine Festival will be held on Saturday, May 16, in Downtown Salisbury, NC from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. In preparation for the Festival, the city will close roadways on Friday, May 15, at 4 p.m.

• 100 block of N. Main St.
• 100 & 200 blocks of S. Main St.
• 100 block of E. & W. Council St.
• 100 block of E. Fisher St.
• 100 & 200 blocks of W. Fisher St.
• 100 blocks of N. & S. Church St.
• 100 block of S. Jackson St.
After the Festival, motorists can expect the roads to reopen on Sunday, May 17, at 2 a.m.
The city is advising motorists to seek alternate routes during the closures. Portable message boards in town and overhead message boards on I-85 will announce detours.
