The Mayor's Hot Take - 9/15/2026

The Tuesday, Sept. 15, Mayor’s Hot Take is now available.
Mayor Tamara Sheffield kicks things off from the N.C. Mayors Association Fall Meeting before turning things over to Councilmember Carlton Jackson, Jr. for a recap of the Sept. 15 Salisbury City Council meeting.
Recorded at the future home of the Legacy Mural, Councilmember Jackson shares an update on the project honoring the late Mayor Karen K. Alexander and the community partners helping bring it to life.
He also highlights several key topics from the meeting, including changes related to Salisbury Transit property, right-of-way permits and downtown parking, and an update on the former Monroe Street School.
