Volunteer October 24 and help make a difference on W. Liberty Street
On Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24, residents, volunteers and City staff will come together on the 500 and 600 blocks of West Liberty Street to paint, landscape, make repairs, power wash and complete other exterior improvements. It’s all part of BlockWork’s longtime mission: “Neighbors Helping Neighbors One Block at a Time.”
Living up to that mission takes many hands. Volunteers of all skill and experience levels are welcome, whether you’re handy with a paintbrush, ready to tackle some yardwork or simply willing to pitch in wherever you’re needed. Skilled carpenters, masons, landscapers, painters and others with exterior home improvement experience are especially encouraged to participate.
BlockWork is more than a day of home improvements. It’s an opportunity for neighbors from across Salisbury to work side by side, meet one another, and make a lasting difference in our community.
Volunteers are needed for project prep on Friday, October 23, and for the main BlockWork event Saturday, October 24. Volunteers will be provided with gloves, meals, snacks and drinks.
