Don’t toss this year’s holiday pumpkins in the trash! The City of Salisbury is accepting pumpkins through its yard waste collection program until December 4. Residents can place pumpkins with yard waste on regularly scheduled collection days.
Pumpkins must be free of paint, glitter, lights, and other decorations or non-organic materials to be accepted.
Yard debris must be placed in bags or reusable containers and set at the curb, separated from regular curbside trash and recycling. Do not put yard debris in trash or recycling roll out containers.
By choosing to keep Halloween and Thanksgiving pumpkins out of landfills, residents can help reduce waste and support more sustainable disposal practices.
