BlockWork brings volunteers together to improve West Liberty Street
Volunteers, residents and City staff joined forces October 23-24 for the 2026 BlockWork project, bringing new life to the 500 and 600 blocks of West Liberty Street.
This annual neighborhood improvement initiative brings the community together to make a lasting difference, one block at a time. This year’s efforts focused on landscaping, painting, exterior repairs and other improvements to help beautify the neighborhood and strengthen community pride.
More than just a neighborhood cleanup, BlockWork is about building connections, strengthening communities, and showing what can be accomplished when neighbors work together.
A special thank you to the West Liberty Street residents for welcoming volunteers into their neighborhood, and to the volunteers, community partners, sponsors, and City staff who contributed their time, talents and resources. Their dedication and generosity continue to make BlockWork a meaningful tradition in Salisbury.
