Workers are attempting to remove all debris in a timely manner, however residents are asked to remain patient as the collection process may take a number of weeks before the regular schedule resumes.

Salisbury, N.C., (Wednesday, June 1, 2016) – Salisbury-Rowan Utilities had a discharge of untreated wastewater from the 1500 block of McCanless Road in Salisbury, of approximately 32,000 gallons of which approximately 27,000 gallons reached surface waters.

On Saturday night May 28, 2016 at 10:36pm Salisbury Police Officers responded to a shots fired call in the area of E. Fisher and S. Shaver St. When officers arrived, they came in contact with a shooting victim identified as Christopher Shepherd, age 44 of Salisbury. EMS was called and transported Shepherd to Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center. He was then transferred to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for further treatment. He has since been released.
