The 6th Annual College Night Out is on its way! This year’s date is Thursday, August 23rd, from 6-9 p.m. on the 100 Block of West Fisher Street. (Block closed beginning at 4 p.m. until 11 p.m.)

Founded in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. The program seeks to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while fostering a sense of community. This year, the Salisbury City Council meeting will be held on the same date, however Council members will visit with communities following the meeting’s adjournment.

Fibrant, in conjunction with Hotwire Communications, will be conducting scheduled maintenance during the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 26.
