The City of Salisbury has launched a community survey to hear the public’s opinion about housing affordability, needs and types of development. The survey will help inform local leaders as they develop a 10-year housing strategic plan to help identify community housing gaps and barriers.
Livingstone College’s annual Homecoming Parade will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 in downtown Salisbury and along streets in the West End. Downtown streets will close at 8:30 a.m., and the parade will begin at 9 a.m.

The Salisbury Police Department (SPD) will continue a partnership with a local auto group to deliver bicycles to Salisbury children during the Christmas holiday season. The annual SPD Christmas Bicycle Program applications are open now through Friday, Nov. 10 at www.salisburync.gov/ChristmasBike.
The Salisbury Police Department hosted its Women in Law Enforcement Luncheon in celebration of National Police Women’s Day on Tuesday, Sept. 12. The luncheon brought together more than 70 remarkable women from various law enforcement agencies, including police departments, sheriff’s offices, and state agencies, representing a broad spectrum of leadership roles.
