Salisbury’s land and development services department transitions to a Wednesday walk-in only service and a by-appointment format for the remaining weekdays to create a more efficient and consistent permitting process for residents, business owners and developers. The new office schedule will begin Monday, Jan. 22.
“As we approach springtime, a popular period for permit applications, we are re-evaluating the best method for reviewing and issuing zoning permits, and site plan, subdivision and other development-related approvals,” said Land and Development Services Director Phillip Lookadoo. “By scheduling appointments on weekdays, we can better serve our customers’ needs without waiting but still have flexibility on Wednesdays. Regardless of the day, we are committed to providing excellent customer service.”
To schedule an appointment on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, customers should call (704) 638-5208 or visit salisburync.gov/permits after Monday, Jan. 22 to sign up for an online appointment.
