Vickie Eddleman has been employed with the city since 1999, starting as a traffic signal technician. In her current role as the traffic engineering coordinator, Vickie provides technical support for the traffic signal technicians, monitors the traffic signal system ensuring compliance with NCDOT, and handles citizens questions and concerns relating to traffic and pedestrian safety concerns, traffic signals and intersection or thru streets inquiries.
“Anytime I can plan solutions for citizens’ concerns is what I enjoy doing the most. When there is a solution to be found, we’re able to reach that point, plan it out and present it to the citizen. This is a part of what I do with the assistance of the engineering department. The staff that I work with is wonderful. I could not ask for better coworkers – not just the engineering department but everyone working for the city.”
