Delando Clowney Jr., a recreation coordinator for the parks and recreation department, is this month’s employee spotlight. He is responsible for planning and operating activities at Miller Recreation Teen Center. In his role, Delando supervises and supports teen center staff, communicates and works with teens, individuals and community groups to create programs of interest for teens, and manages the facility’s budget.
“My favorite part about my job is the variety. No days are the same; working in Salisbury Parks and Recreation. Working in an evolving career, things are always changing. My job keeps me busy by making sure. I’m implementing new program trends and ideas. Also, working with and meeting the citizens of Salisbury; is something, I greatly enjoy. Most of all I enjoy working with the parks and recreation staff. The team we have makes the difficult, days easy.”
