City Announces Spring Paving Work

The City of Salisbury is announcing that paving work will begin tentatively Monday, May 18, on the following streets:
  • Filbert Street from Willow St  to Filbert St
  • Van Nuys St from Willow St to Ackert Av
  • Hedrick St from Van Nuys St to Brenner Av
  • Barringer St from Merritt Av to Link Av
  • Link Ave from Barringer St to W Innes St
  • Messner St from Dead End to Old Wilkesboro Rd
  • Standish St from Partee St to Dead End
  • Partee St from Monroe St to Old Plank Rd
  • Forney St from Old Wilkesboro to Standish St
  • Reeds Lane from Standish St to Old Plank Rd
  • Duncan Court from Cul De Sac to Standish St
  • South Caldwell St from W Innes St to Lincolnton Rd
  • Fairmont Ave from Grace St to Milford Hills Rd
  • Maple Ave from Wilson Rd to Milford Hills Rd

The paving contractor is Hanes Construction Co. The work schedule is generally scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday thru Friday and is weather dependent. Residents will have access to enter and exit during paving. Motorists should expect traffic delays and partial, short-term road closures.
