Salisbury-Rowan Utilities (SRU), the water and wastewater provider for the City of Salisbury and other Rowan County municipalities, has been honored for exceeding federal and state drinking water standards for the year of 2022. SRU was one of only 72 in the state of North Carolina to achieve this recognition in 2022.

The Salisbury Community Appearance Commission (CAC) has sponsored the Downtown Holiday Decoration competition for almost 2 decades (this is the 19th year), but this year was a little different. Previously, commission members toured downtown businesses and chose the winners. This year, the public was given the task, and the votes poured in!
